Projects

MFS conducts field trials and demonstrations across the Monaro region of NSW encompassing the communities of Adaminaby, Ando, Berridale, Bibbenluke, Bombala, Cooma, Dalgety, Delegate, Jerangle, Kybeyan, Maffra, Michelago and Nimmitabel and delivers information to a broad range of audiences within the rural and farming community.

Project work is conducted on a variety of issues, soil types and farming systems to respond to member’ input and specific priorities the group has identified.

MFS has been responsible for managing as well as assisting in managing approximately 100 trial sites under a number of funded projects. Funding bodies include DAFF, GRDC, Evergraze, CSIRO, CFOC, NSW DPI, MLA, SE LLS and SRCMA.

Project timelines generally can range anywhere from one to four years.
