Applications are now open for a sheep and wool training weekend to be held on the Monaro in March, 2025.
MFS is working in collaboration with the Peter Westblade Scholarship committee to provide a hands-on, practical training weekend to mentor and educate the next generation of young people in the sheep and wool industry.
Registrations will be open to sheep and wool enthusiasts aged 18 – 30 with the weekend to be held at “Jimenbuen”, Dalgety, from the 14th to the 16th of March.
Presenters are currently being locked in and will include experts in the areas of stockmanship, animal health, wool classing, sheep selection, mental health, pasture assessment and working dogs.
Positions to attend the training weekend will be limited and offered on a first in first served basis.
